DESIGN & SPECIFICATION
Another client with whom we have a well established relationship, this made working to their budget constraints easier as we were able to review and develop the design options openly and directly to achieve the very specific look and feel they set out to implement in their design. This project was designer lead so it was very important to them to keep this as close to the original as possible, so working closely together was key to achieving exactly what they had originally intended but within the reduced budget.
ROOM LAYOUTS & AMENDMENTS
As the rooms were delivered for the installation, problems with the layout and the location of the electrical points became apparent, as well as inconsistencies with the window configuration affecting the installation of the blinds. Using our site team we provided continuous updates and suggested solutions for review by the client and with prompt confirmation, we minimised the impact on the installation programme.
PROGRAMME & DELIVERY
We worked with the main contractor Goveke to manage the project from the very start, co-ordinating with the site team to ensure the smooth running of all logistical arrangements and deliveries. In Phase 2 of the project, we were faced with the unforeseen issue of the Coronavirus pandemic. We navigated the guidelines put in place to mobilise a fitting team to work on site in isolation to keep the installation going and to minimise the effect on the handover. With ongoing site visits, review and revised daily and weekly targets, we were able to continue to fit furniture where available, revise delivery dates when possible and to actively coordinate with other key trades to establish realistic completion dates.
