DESIGN AND SPECIFICATION

This project was a refurb/conversion which required extensive design input to co-ordinate the furniture layouts. Having already established an understanding of this clients requirements from repeated projects in Europe together, we were able to promptly identify problems, highlight them and at the same time propose an instant solution that achieved a practical design solution and at the same time, kept installation moving. During one of the early site visits it was clear that there were design hurdles so on site we developed a revised design layout which gave us approval to action specific design details in each room including resizing the sink and the units to create a service void for existing pipe work.

PROGRAMME & DELIVERY

On this project we encountered numerous issues, one being a serious asbestos incident. This concluded in the entire building having to be shut down while the site clearance was completed to the satisfaction of the Local Authorities. In order to accommodate the revised programme timings due to the site shut down, we were able to re-sequence the furniture deliveries to co- ordinate with the phased reopening of the site. Continuous video meetings and on site visits gave support to the fluidity of the adaptations that were happening to accommodate the last minute layout changes.
